We Are Never Too Young to Care

A famous Russian children’s song tells us: “Solid friendship will always endure — through blizzard or storm, steadfast and firm.”

Kids’ songs and films contain a lot of wisdom that we adults forget all too soon once we’ve turned our attentions to the pursuit of material success and personal advancement.
Juvenile friendship knows no artificial boundaries of skin color, age, or any such. Kids just frolic and romp, addressing and solving among themselves their “grown-up” problems. As the song concludes: “A friend will never desert you in your times of distress. A friend asks little and gives much. Now, that’s what true friendship really means.”
