Family is our rear guard that won’t let us fall, the fortress that protects us, a safe harbor where we can find respite. Family is our constant occupation, the object of all our cares. We can only marvel that there are people who come into our lives, about whom we proclaim with pride: “This is my family.” From whom do we derive strength? To whom do we give consolation and inspiration? On whose shoulder can we cry, or find peaceful slumber? Only our own family. These are the bonds that never unravel.
